Software Sales Consultant

We're looking for a pro-active and dynamic Software Sales Consultant to join our growing Sales team and help lead the global expansion of e-days® - the market leading, web-based absence management software.

About the role

As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for engaging and bringing new customers on board across the UK and in over 60 countries worldwide.

We’ll encourage you to grow and develop in your role and support you to continuously look at new ways to inspire customers with our product.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a network - Generating leads and responding to sales enquiries ensuring high enquiry-to-sales conversion rates; building and nurturing lasting relationships with business contacts
  • Generating Sales – Understanding the needs of potential new customers and negotiating sales of the e-days® system
  • Delivering System Demonstrations – Highlighting features and advantages of the e-days® system to potential clients via online screen-share demonstrations
  • Marketing - Market segmentation and direct sector-specific marketing campaigns
  • Keeping track of data - Logging and reporting of all sales activity via CRM system
  • Work to targets - Achieve daily/weekly KPIs including telephone targets, client and contact input to CRM
  • Leading tender processes - Leadership of proposal writing and pitch meetings for customer opportunities.
  • Keeping the process going - Make follow up calls with customers after their initial demo to help answer questions; Conduct a really good handover with the customer support team as part of the onboarding process
  • Knowledge of the system – Nurture an interest in our software and keep yourself continually up to date with the latest features and changes
  • Team-player – Collaborate with our internal teams, especially the Accounts and Support teams, to make sure everyone is kept in the loop throughout the onboarding journey

About you

To help our customers get the best service you must:

  • Be really customer-centric, with a drive to deliver an amazing service at each interaction
  • Have solid experience in business development or sales/software sales
  • Be an excellent communicator in person, over the phone and in writing
  • Have a strong understanding of the sales process and sales cycles
  • Be self-motivated, pro-active and have a ‘never give up’ attitude
  • Have a real passion for technology
  • Have an understanding of web-based applications
  • Have a solid knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Be a great problem-solver
  • Be able to successfully juggle lots of different activities at once
