With more than 65,000 users around the world, it’s little wonder e-days has proved popular in the travel industry.
When you have a great holiday you tell all your friends. We are very pleased to see that e-days is often recommended in the same way and has led to number of travel sector companies adopting our service.
First it was TTT Moneycorp, who started using e-days in 2008 for staff in their exchange bureaux’s across the UK. The Nuance Group followed, with their Europe-wide Airport based retail operation. Airplus, the travel payment expenses company started using e-days in 2009 and in 2010 Online Regional Travel Group (ORTG) rolled e-days out to staff in their UK, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and US offices. Most recently we have delivered e-days to all staff at Ports of Jersey, which includes both Jersey Airport and Jersey Harbour.
So, why is the travel sector around the world choosing to use e-days? Well, there are a number of reasons:
- There is often a need to book and calculate absence against complex rota patterns – e-days provides flexible tools to cope with this
- Maintaining minimum staffing levels is often a crucial requirement – e-days allows restrictions to be set against groups of staff by team, location, skill-set and more
- The travel sector (and Airports in particular) are fast moving environments - e-days allows common tasks and responsibility to be de-centralised by equipping line managers with effective tools
