Is software downloaded onto staff PCs?
No, e-days is accessed through a standard internet browser and does not require any software downloads. The system is securely hosted and maintained by us making it extremely to setup and use.
Does e-days support integration with Outlook calendars?
Yes, e-days offers an iCalendar export facility (ics file), these files can be seamlessly imported into both Microsoft Outlook to add absence information into the calendars.
Does e-days support multiple department and organisation levels?
Yes, e-days is highly flexible allowing it to be setup to mirror your organisational structures.
Could we implement the system globally if need be or just in the UK?
A number of our clients have implemented e-days globally for multiple office locations. The price per user is reduced the larger the system, therefore if you consider a larger rollout you may benefit from economies of scale.
Which countries have you implemented e-days in?
Over 35 countries worldwide including: UK, USA, Bermuda, Germany, Austria, Finland, France, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Australia.
Is there flexibility to allow some absence types to be recorded in hours?
Yes, all absence types are configurable in hours, days or half-days
Does e-days automatically calculate the Bradford Factor for staff sickness?

Can data be extracted for use with other 3rd party systems?
Yes. A number of our clients have data from e-days feeding into other systems with data being exported from e-days by CSV.
Where is data stored and how secure is it?
Your data will be securely stored on our own IBM Blade Servers based in a Global Switch data centre in London’s Docklands. More details are attached, and SSL encryption is used.
What level of perimeter / infrastructure security is provided on the hosted server?
Physical security is handled by Global Switch; our servers are based in a very secure co-location suite in a London facility. Access is to named personnel only via photo smartcard and each individual rack is secured by a code lock. The site is manned by security guards 24x7 and full CCTV and all available physical security and availability safeguards are in place.
Is the information stored and transmitted in an encrypted form?
Yes, all the data in the system is transmitted using SSL encryptions.
Do clients receive updates with the latest version at no additional cost?
We are still continuing to enhance e-days 3 and updates to this system are currently provided free of charge to all clients.
What system support would we receive and would a fee be incurred for this?
Ongoing system administration support is included in the annual license charge.
Do you charge exit fees which we would be locked into?
Charges are made up front for an initial 13month period, after which licenses are renewed annually. There are no exit fees.
